Cambridge Neighbors is a nonprofit that helps older adults thrive as they age, by promoting aging-in-place initiatives and being the connector in both creating a community and providing centralized resources and services.
Their official mission is: “Cambridge Neighbors is a nonprofit, membership-driven organization dedicated to promoting healthy aging and aging in place, serving adults aged 60 and older in Arlington, Belmont, Cambridge, Somerville and Watertown by providing access to centralized resources, services, and opportunities to connect with one another.”
WP New England has an ongoing partnership with Cambridge Neighbors. Given the mission and audience, goal is always been to create an experience that is super accessible, inclusive, and user friendly while appealing to various types of stakeholders.

Overview
WP New England originally partnered with Cambridge Neighbors to help with a brand new website rebuild. Their previous website platform was limited, built on a platform that was inflexible and wasn’t particularly user friendly when it came to making updates.
The outdated system made content updates difficult and failed to reflect the warm, human-centered nature of the Village Movement. The organization needed an accessible, easy-to-navigate site that empowered staff to manage information and better connect with their members.
Solution
WP New England managed a full platform migration and redesign focused on readability and trust. We implemented audience-specific navigation for members and volunteers, along with flexible layouts that staff can update without technical help.
